Anna Richardson Swihart, the mother of 8 children (19 grandchildren & so far 10 great grandchildren), is an accomplished cook and enjoys the “early morning shift!” At daybreak, before going out to feed the chickens and the fish, she’ll put on a fresh-ground pot of coffee, set out the homemade muffins and prepare the “Deluxe Continental Breakfast:” fresh fruits, juices, milk, several kinds of cereal, toast, bagels, jelly, etc.

Anne Richardson, born in Washington and raised in Montana, has 2 grown children, is also an accomplished cook and has a real gift of hospitality. You probably talked to her when you made your reservation and when you check in she will greet you with the famous “afternoon snack”: On Friday, her award winning homemade salsa & chips; on Saturday, fruit and cheese; on Sunday, homemade cookies and milk; on Monday -Thursday, it varies but it's always great!

Omar Richardson, one of Anna’s boys and married to Anne for over 25 years, was born in Salida and has climbed all 54 of Colorado’s 14,000 foot mountains (the 14ers). He’s the broker/owner of Heart of the Rockies Real Estate, LLC, (www.HeartoftheRockiesRE.com) and loves to talk about local history, climbing, hunting, hiking, Jeeping, etc.! If you want to make arrangements to participate in some of the many activities available in the area, he can probably help you out.
